Every guide is built around steps and information a reader can check for themselves: official documentation from streaming platforms and equipment manufacturers, established critical references, and practical instructions you can follow on your own setup. Guides are attributed to the desk that covers that subject rather than to invented personal bylines.

Depending on the topic, our guides reference sources such as the BFI’s Sight and Sound critics’ poll, the American Film Institute, official documentation from streaming services and display or audio manufacturers, and other publicly available references.
